Arizona Justice Project

From 2011-2013 Judge Fidel volunteered with the Arizona Justice Project as a member of the pro bono team that helped free Louis Taylor from the life sentence that resulted from his unjust prosecution and trial for Tucson’s 1970 Pioneer Hotel Fire. After celebrating Louis Taylor’s release from 42 years in prison, Judge Fidel became a member of the board of directors of the Arizona Justice Project,  which examines claims of innocence and manifest injustice and seeks to overturn and prevent wrongful convictions in the State of Arizona.
